My Career & Calling

Happiness turns up more or less where you would expect it to -a good marriage, a rewarding job, a pleasant vacation. Joy, on the other hand, is as notoriously unpredictable as the One who bequeathed it. -Frederick Buechner-

Greetings Friends! My name is Jesse Johnson and I live near Snowshoe, West Virginia. My outdoor activities include skiing, canoeing, hiking, tree climbing and soccer. My indoor hobbies include reading, drawing, writing, chess, torturing my three younger brothers and inventing new constructions with Legoes. Most of all I love spontaneity and trying new things.

Currently I am attending Berea College were I am junior. After two years of sweating over the decision of selecting a major I finially chose Technology and Industrial Arts Management with prerequisites in Occupational Therapy. In addition to my academic load I am humbly serving as InterVarsity Chapter President, Church Youth Coordinator and Residence Hall Chaplain.

As of present, my career goals are still in the making. However, I have interest in attending to graduate school at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and obtaining a degree in appropriate technology and third world economics. With such a degree I could work with organizations likeCompassion International spreading God's double-handed message of both physical and spiritual bread. Another dream of mine is to continue my work with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) as Discipleship Training School (DTS) teacher and lead zealous youth overseas with a the life-giving message of Jesus.

This is not a Berea College Publication.
