My
name is Ethan Isaac Johnson. I moved
to Kalamazoo, Mi in July of 2004 for my job with Kellogg in Battle Creek.
So far I have been trapped in a cycle of; no life outside of
work, therefore, I work more, therefore I don't pursue a life.
The good thing is that Mi offers much more outdoor excitement
than Chicago. I have been able to find a few friends that
enjoy outdoor activities and that has been a blessing. I have also been unsuccessful
at find a church home. I can attribute much of that to
only being here in Mi, 2 Sundays. Right now, the biggest
thing that I am learning is to trust God and live in grace.
Sounds simple but for some reason I have trouble living. It
has taken me some rough times to get me to were I am now, but I
am learning to understand how big that grace is, and hopefully,
I will be able to share that with others.
I moved to Chicago land in
April of 2002 to be closer to my grandparents so that I
could start flying lessons. However, that as of yet has not
happened although I hope to start soon. In the mean time I
become active in a in small group (ECHO)
of Willow Creek Church.
I am still discovering my direction in life, but a
possiblity would like
help people in a developing nation. But in the mean
time I learning what it is to have personal relationship
with God, wherever I am.
I had the great fortune to have grown up in the
Pocahontas
county WV, one of the most scenic counties on the east
cost. That along with my three brothers and a outdoorsy
mother, provided the opportunity and companionship for
adventure. However, it was not all fun. My mother saw four
boys as slave labor (proabition hasn't made it to WV yet),
home schooling kept us brother well in tune with work
ethics.
From WV I moved to Kentucky to obtain a BS
in Business Admin, BA in Economics and I minor in Computer
Science from Berea College.
Following my graduation I traveled to
Japan for a month, then completed a YWAM Discipleship
training school (DTS)
at Lakeside Montana.
This program sent me to
Indore, India, for 2 months where I lost 25-30 pounds,
and a gained a desire to be used by God to help others (although
I am not so sure I would want to live
in India).
I hope that enjoy looking at my pictures
that show a portion of enjoyment that I have had living the
adventure of Ethan.
God Bless,
Ethan Johnson |
